Accreditation

Cambridge Montessori School is accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS). The American Montessori Society is the foremast advocate for quality Montessori education in the United States. AMS sets the high professional standards that inform Montessori education as practiced in AMS-accredited schools and taught in AMS-affiliates teacher training programs. AMS publishes its own standards and criteria for its accredited member schools.

Cambridge Montessori School is accredited by and a member of the Association of Independent Schools New England (AISNE). Founded in 1970, AISNE is one of the largest regional independent school associations in the country, with over 260 member schools, and represents a diverse range of schools. AISNE maintains a strict set of standards by which member schools are assessed before being accredited. The accreditation process respects each school’s independence while holding each school accountable to their stated goals, to the implementation of their curriculum, and to all of their practices and policies. AISNE is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools as well as a member of the International Council Advancing Independent School Accreditation.

Cambridge Montessori is a member of the Montessori Schools of Massachusetts (MSM). MSM is a non-profit organization that supports Montessori schools in Massachusetts by promoting knowledge and understanding of the Montessori pedagogy and by supporting teachers and administrators in Montessori schools.
